Summer Infant Sleek and Secure Handheld Color Video Monitor, Grey

Bought this monitor as we needed a second one for our newest addition and the current Safety 1st H.264 monitor that we have (which ROCKS) is no longer made. As noted by another review the video is SLOW and delayed. Seems like it might be a 10 frames a sec and its delayed about 1-2 seconds which probably isn’t a big deal but I’m comparing it to our Safety 1st one which doesn’t do that, so that really annoyed me. I liked being able to talk to the baby. The sound quality was very good but my one major complaint is that there isn’t an audio sensitivity adjustment. We have an air purifier in our baby’s room and even with it running on low, which is super quiet, the monitor which was on the other side of the room was picking it up and thus constantly on. Our other video and just plain audio monitors both offer a sensitivity setting so that you can block that air purifier or music out but still hear the baby when she cried. Can’t believe that’s not a standard feature on all monitors. Ultimately that was the deal breaker with this monitor so it went back.
One note for those looking for a good way to mount the camera on a crib or whatever use 3M Command 17204 Medium Picture Hanging Strips, 6-Sets.

We bought this camera to watch our baby while we watch TV upstairs…it is incredible that when I go upstairs, less the 150′, the receiver starts to beep and I get no signal, nothing so the product doesn’t work for us, and it said that it has more than a 300′ range…also the picture quality at night is awful.

Pros:
Small, sleek, able to carry it around with you. easy controls. Has a light at the top that gages the volume in the room (because you can’t see the video if unplugged)
Cons:
The video camera does not stay on when unplugged so you have to push the video button every time you want to see the baby, probably due to power issues. Also, the clip portion of the video monitor is so incredibly flimsy. It does not stay on, so if you plan on putting it on your belt loop; forget about it. But the stand works good.
Overall, the monitor was a good buy for me. It does what it is suppose to. I have been using it for about a month so far and it is really nice not having to risk waking my baby up to check on him. I would recommend this to a friend.

I really wanted to like this video monitor as I have been on the search for one that is digital with multi-camera capabilities. I bought it at Babies R Us with my 20% coupon but had to return it immediately because I was getting a “No Signal” response. I tried to sync the monitor to the camera multiple times (which is supposedly why I was getting the “No Signal” message) and even called the company for assistance. They claimed that I got a defective one, but refused to directly answer my question as to if many people had called in with the same complaint. Seemed to fishy to me so I decided not to get a new one but keep searching

I waited for this product so long. I didn’t expect too much. Just wanted that has a normal picture quality and multi-camera support. Finally I got it and got so disappointed. I have tried all kinds of video monitors. This one has the worst picture quality. I have to return it back to the seller.
